  • *** VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - WHW Lanai Office ** Women Helping Women has been serving victims of domestic violence on Lanai for over 15 years and will continue to strengthen our mission to “to end domestic violence through advocacy, education and prevention; and to offer safety, support and empowerment to women and children, victims of domestic violence." Lanai Services Coordinator Full-time position, must be able to provide the community of Lanai a full range of domestic violence advocacy services that include individual advocacy, support groups, assistance preparing TRO’s (temporary restraining orders) and referrals for safe housing either in our shelter on Maui or on island. (Job location is on the island of Lanai). Job Requirements: • High school diploma required college degree in related field preferred. • Work experience in domestic violence crisis intervention or other related field. • Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence • Ability to relate well with people of diverse cultural backgrounds • Knowledge of community resources and agencies • Ability to work well as a team with other staff members • Bi-lingual in any language preferred. Excellent Benefits package: • Medical and Dental benefits covered for the employee, family coverage available with employee contribution. • Retirement through 401b, with agency matching if employee elected. • Paid time off (accrual rate at 8 hours per pay period) • 13 Paid Holidays • Excellent on the job training and ongoing training to ensure job skills are up to date and continually effective.
