Please save the date to join the West Maui Domestic Violence Task Force and Women Helping Women on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 10:00 am in support of Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a Men’s March Against Domestic Violence. Encourage men of all ages to walk and all others to come and cheer them on.

$10 minimum donation for free t-shirt and entry into a drawing for fabulous prizes.  To make a donation and register online, please click the following PayPal link.  If you are registering for multiple people, please use the PayPal “instructions to seller” field to let us know who’s accompanying you.

  • *** VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - WHW Lanai Office ** Women Helping Women has been serving victims of domestic violence on Lanai for over 15 years and will continue to strengthen our mission to “to end domestic violence through advocacy, education and prevention; and to offer safety, support and empowerment to women and children, victims of domestic violence." Lanai Services Coordinator Full-time position, must be able to provide the community of Lanai a full range of domestic violence advocacy services that include individual advocacy, support groups, assistance preparing TRO’s (temporary restraining orders) and referrals for safe housing either in our shelter on Maui or on island. (Job location is on the island of Lanai). Job Requirements: • High school diploma required college degree in related field preferred. • Work experience in domestic violence crisis intervention or other related field. • Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence • Ability to relate well with people of diverse cultural backgrounds • Knowledge of community resources and agencies • Ability to work well as a team with other staff members • Bi-lingual in any language preferred.
